Rooted in faith and guided by compassion, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery honors the dignity of every human life by providing a sacred place of rest, remembrance, prayer, and hope. As a ministry of the Church, we serve families with reverence and pastoral care while bearing witness to the promise of the Resurrection.

Our Hours of Operation are Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

We are located at 2700 N Virginia Avenue, Reno, NV

UPDATES: Beautification Project Underway!!!

The Martha and Mary and New Gethsemane Sections recently installed new grass to enhance the beauty of these areas.

To give the new grass the best opportunity to establish and thrive, we kindly ask that families refrain from walking on the newly seeded areas during this time. Grave markers have been temporarily relocated to protect the new turf and will be returned to their proper locations in late August. Please be assured that while the markers have been temporarily moved, the graves themselves have remained completely undisturbed throughout this project.

We understand that not being able to visit your loved one’s gravesite or leave flowers and other memorial offerings during this temporary closure may be disappointing. During this time, we invite families to visit our chapel, where candles are available in the cemetery office during regular business hours for anyone wishing to light one in memory of a loved one.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work to create a beautiful, peaceful, and lasting place of remembrance for all who visit.
